Description

Datalogic’s Magellan 1500i OEM scanner is a high-performance presentation scanner for a variety of applications including Point of Sale and price checking as well as reading mobile loyalty cards, coupons, tickets or boarding passes. The Magellan 1500i OEM pairs the imaging scanning expertise developed for larger Datalogic scanners with an innovative, compact design to create the most powerful presentation scanner on the market. The addition of Digimarc® Barcode decoding makes the Magellan 1500i OEM scanner uniquely capable of handling both current and future scanning needs.

The Magellan 1500i OEM uses a high-performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to create a large reading area capable of reading at distances up to 25 cm and with 1D sweep speeds up to 1.5 m/s. Powerful decoding algorithms provide unmatched performance on a variety of 1D and 2D labels, including hard-to-read, truncated and damaged codes. The large reading area, intuitive ‘at the window’ performance and sweep capability of the Magellan 1500i OEM scanner makes scanning easy and intuitive even for novice users. The addition of Digimarc® watermark decoding makes this a uniquely capable scanner in the presentation category.

The consistent, comfortable illumination enables seamless reading of 1D and 2D bar codes from printed or mobile sources while reducing reflection and eliminating flickering that can cause operator discomfort. A user configurable beeper and ‘Green Spot’ visual good-read indicator provides reading confirmation even in a noisy environment or when audio feedback is not desired.

The versatile mount for either horizontal or vertical surfaces facilitates easy mounting, while an industry standard, latching RJ-45 provides a secure connection. The integrated window means that the 1500i OEM can be mounted directly against an enclosure surface for a streamlined installation. A fully certified product simplifies your regulatory approval process and reduces compliance complexity. If you need aggressive, intuitive scanning for any embedded application in an easy to integrate package, the Magellan 1500i OEM is ideal.
