Or build it from the parts
Printer, scanner, software and consumables, specified to work together and supported by us. No pointing between vendors when something stops working.
Printing
Brother
Desktop and industrial label printers built for continuous use. Direct thermal and thermal transfer, from a benchtop unit printing a few hundred labels a day to a production machine running all shift.
Scanning
Newland
Corded, cordless and fixed-mount barcode scanners reading 1D and 2D codes. Reliable hardware at a sensible price, which matters when you are fitting out a whole site rather than a single counter.
Software
BarTender
Label design and printing software from Seagull, used by more than 250,000 companies across 175 countries. Drivers for over 12,000 printers, more than 100 barcode symbologies, and over 400 ready-made templates.
Which BarTender edition do you need?
Most people buy more than they need. The honest answer is that the jump from Starter to Professional is the one that matters for nearly everyone; beyond that you are paying for integration and governance you may never use.
| Edition | What it adds | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Design and print barcode labels. Single user. Excel and CSV as a data source. | One person, a handful of fixed label designs. |
| Professional | Data-driven templates, so one template produces thousands of label variations. RFID encoding. Printing from anywhere on the network. Full database connectivity. | Most businesses. If your labels change with the product, this is the one. |
| Automation | Integration with your own systems through REST APIs, file drop and database monitoring. Printing triggered by events rather than by a person. | Labels that should print when an order lands, without anyone pressing print. |
| Enterprise | Role-based security, electronic signatures, document encryption and a complete audit trail. | Regulated sectors where you must prove who printed what, and when. |
On-premises or cloud? On-premises installs on your own machines and is licensed per workstation or per printer. Cloud needs no install and no printer drivers, and suits sites with no IT support on the ground. Both are sold annually, on one, three or five year terms.
Support is included. Every new licence comes with at least a year of standard maintenance and support, which covers live technical help and product updates. A premium level adds round-the-clock cover and a one-hour response on anything stopping production.
Everything around it
BarcodeGenie
Hardware is the easy part. What makes a deployment work is everything around it, and that is what we do rather than leaving you to coordinate three vendors yourself.
Gold builds
We configure one device exactly as you want it, then replicate that build across every unit you order. They arrive ready to work, identically, so rollout is unboxing rather than a day of setup per device.
Software support
Help with BarTender templates, printer drivers and getting data from your system onto a label. The part that usually falls between the software vendor and the hardware supplier.
Labels and ribbons
Matched to the printer and the environment, not sold blind. Free samples before you commit to a roll quantity, and a reorder you can set and forget.
Hardware RMAs
When something fails, you deal with us. We handle the return with the manufacturer and keep you working in the meantime, rather than handing you a reference number and a phone queue.
